RssDirector of Warehouse Operations. lead by example for 14 years

Daniel E. Duff 253-677-3860 dan.duff@hotmail.com Experience and qualifications I have over fourteen years in inventory and warehouse management experience. Director of warehouse – Lead a team of two managers, six Supervisors and one hundred and thirteen employees. Very strong on team building with a focus on safety and moral with continued improvements to accuracy and cost improvement results. Started with a warehouse expense to sales of 2.69% and through coaching and mentoring of management staff and employees on the floor, have reduced to 1.75% to sales. This was achieved by ensuring the warehouse management system was used correctly and all employees understood the (West Monroe) engineered standard for all job functions and its workings. Service level of order fulfillment accuracy to the customer was 99.7% accurate and through coaching and training improved to an accuracy of 99.9%. This was accomplished by bringing the entire team together share what the company goals where. I created Microsoft Excel graphs to show weekly trend lines to see improvements made and shared them with the entire crew. By showing and sharing results, created more of a team orientated atmosphere all focused on the common goals. This was also done in combination of the needs of other departments to ensure the customer’s needs are met with the changing demands from one customer to the next. Responsible for the entire warehouse recruiting and hiring of new employees as well as all performance evaluations and all corrective actions needed for the engineered standard and safety are followed. Responsible for all regulatory audits and results for AIB (American institute of baking), USDA, FDA, OSHA, Shell fish. Trained in HACCP and serve safe certified as well as Sysco Western Regional leadership training and Essentials of leadership trained. Attend bi-weekly meetings with Senior and Executive staff to share operational results and any changing needs from other departments. My results are based on being a good example with a positive attitude focused on safety and attention to detail that are results driven focused on continues improvements. Inventory control Manager- Lead a team of eight employees and was responsible for over fifteen million dollars of inventory. Responsibilities where to ensure accurate cycle counts and accuracy of the receiving of product to direct put away system. Organized a shrink committee to investigate and review any inaccuracies in inventory and review processes for all laws and regulations for food safety and all preferred work methods are followed using the warehouse management system.
