Major Responsibilities

Director of Logistics & Fleet Management responsible for: • Developed and implemented an aggressive logistics and maintenance program enabling the organization to better focus in directing operations and resources. • Integrated functions in a multi-discipline work environment while providing guidance, leadership, and mentorship to eighteen (18) subordinate department managers and supervisors. • Developed, implemented, and communicated departmental policies and standard operating procedures, planned, organized, trained, supervised, controlled productivity, plans, programs, and daily operations for the Logistics, Maintenance, Safety, Supply, Personnel, Budget, and Training departments. • Developed and implemented and an aggressive Drivers Recruiting, Training and Licensing Program that improved the cost of operations, maintenance, and reduced the rate of motor vehicle accidents to zero %. • Managed, oversaw, and measured the performance and effectiveness of various organizational programs throughout four (4) direct reports and seven (7) indirect reports. • Managed profit / loss measures for a $12,000,000 million of operational budget for the organization. • Oversaw the maintenance, readiness, driver's training, licensing, and operational budget of a 5,000-vehicle fleet. • Compiled and analyzed requisition data to track processing and delivery of parts to support various ground equipment and cruiser weapon systems using LIW (Logistics Information Warehouse). • Ensured compliance of hazard analysis, safety, quality standards, and environmental, and OSHA regulations. • Investigated quality issues, developed, and implemented corrective actions. • Maintained ongoing, positive and pro-active relations with all internal and external customer agencies. • Managed the maintenance of the, facility, equipment, inventory, stock data and updated Electronic Equipment Logbook using LOGDAT (Logistics Data Analysis Tools), PBUSE (Property Book Unit Supply), and SAMS-E (Standard Army Maintenance System Enhanced). • Proficient with MS Office Suites to include Power Point, Word, Excel and Office Outlook.
