Possess technical expertise in providing advice on, examining, and approving airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs to aircraft. Experience conducting functional tests of repairs/modifications to ensure proper operation. Sound knowledge of the theory, operation and integration of all mechanical, pneudraulic, electrical, electronic and other operating systems of various types of aircraft in order to troubleshoot malfunctions from pilots and flight crew reports of discrepancies along with observations made during inspections and run-ups. In-depth knowledge of the startup, operation, shutdown, and emergency procedures for the systems and the aircraft symptoms of normal and abnormal operation the inter-relationships between operating systems and activity safety procedures in order to prevent damage to equipment or injury to personnel. Quality Assurance: Possess a thorough knowledge of principles, concepts, and methodology related to aircraft quality assurance programs, and considerable skill in applying this knowledge to the planning and accomplishment of a variety of difficult and complex work assignments. Experience planning and implementing effective and economical quality assurance programs conducting risk assessments and overseeing construction and maintenance processes and ensuring that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with industry/ customer requirements.
