Description
As you will learn from my resume, I have had an unusually broad experience in research and in the industrial isolation, characterization, fermentation and strain improvement of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi producing industrially valuable new compounds. I have worked for or collaborated with many different companies including Merck and Co., Promega Corp., Sybron Co./ Novozymes, Dow AgroSciences, Bio-Technical Resources, Nereus Pharmaceuticals on screening for novel microbial products for industrial applications, and I have developed a significant track record of success in those jobs and collaborations. I am an inventor on two issued Patents describing the discovery of novel microbial products. One of these is a novel broad-spectrum antibiotic. The other is a novel restriction enzyme. I am interested to apply my experience in the discovery of novel microbial products of industrial interest.
