Cover Letter To Whom It May Concern: My name is James Thompson, and I am a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of California. I have over 25 years of experience in the Real Estate and Mortgage industry. My current status is Broker and Owner of Golden State Realty & Financial Services, a full service real estate company. The services provided by my company includes Real Estate Sales, Loans, In-House Escrow (closing agent), Property Management, and Paralegal assistance. The collapse in the Real Estate market in 2008 led to substantial financial losses across the industry. Golden State was no exception. As a direct result of the industry and market collapse, I have been forced to re-tool our business model and am considering direct and contract employment, a business merger or net branching. The downturn in the market caused various changes in the Real Estate industry. I found it advantageous to reeducate myself in Real Estate by returning to school, taking classes both on campus at El Camino Community College and online at VRM (Vendors Resource Management) University. I received a Certificate of Completion in All Vendor Start-Up training, online BPO Amplified Training and Certification, VA Initial Broker/Agent Training and PTSD Crisis training, earning VA Broker and Vendor approval. I also took online classes at Advanced Education Systems, LLC, earning a Certificate of Completion in the 20 Hour S.A.F.E. Comprehensive _ Applying Mortgage Knowledge for exam preparation with NMLS. I also received a Certificate from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a Visual Assessment Course pursuant to 24 code of Federal Regulations Part 35.
