My name is Amit Mali and I have spent seven years in Leather and footwear and Sports footwear industry. I come from a small coastal town which is situated close to Mumbai, the Business Capital of India. I studies in local, vernacular language Government school and successfully secured admission in University Diploma in a Government Polytechnic Institute of Mumbai India in 2003. Three years has been the real learning curve which I enjoyed to the fullest. I was lucky to get placement through the Institute's Training and Placement Office. The first position gave me the industrial exposure and was an eye opener. The training was full time and the exposure was great. The company manufactured a full range of men’s formal leather footwear. There on, I moved to UAE to work as a Production Incharge with Gulf Footwear, the major producer of ladies synthetic as well as leather sandals and special leather Arabic footwear. Within 11 months, I had to move back home due to family reasons. Back in India, I worked with D'Lords for three and a half years as Quality Incharge. The company specialized in ladies and gents sandals and shoes footwear. Working with D'Lords for three and a half years, I was offered to join the team of Sunrise which had a Royalty to manufacture Yonex (badminton) Sports shoes for the whole of South-East Asia. The higher end product of the brand were still made in Japan up until a year ago, however now, at Sunrise Indonesia, we manufacture the hind end sports wears of Yonex a swell. That broadens my technical skills and knowledge in sports footwear. I have attached my latest resume for your kind consideration.
