•Collaborate with ST ,and OR Nurse to prepare the room for surgery. • Use standard & specialized equipment to aid in patient positioning in accordance w/ the surgeon's instruction. • Prepare the patient for anesthesia, and Assist the anesthesiologist. • Collaborate with Time Out. • Provide the surgeon w/ appropriate visualization during surgery (use retractors, sponges, digital manipulation, & other techniques according to standards)and assist with hemostasis. • Perform appropriate techniques to assist w/ closure of body planes, i.e. sutures & staples. • Apply appropriate wound dressings and casts (when is require). • Assist w/ patient transport to & from OR, including from stretcher to bed. • Participates in monitoring quality of care according to professional standards & established criteria.
