Highlights:

During May and June of 2006 I acted as secondary negotiator for the renew of the teamster contract for VWR International. The primary negotiation was to freeze the pension plan saving the company 5M. The contract was successfully approved by a wide margin. I was involved in all aspect of the negotiation. Prior to my departure I did a financial analysis on the closure of a small warehouse. The financial analysis showed a 80K saving during 2006 with an annual savings of 200K in all cost a associated with the closure. During May 2006 VWR was storing inventory in an off-site warehouse. I was able to coordinate with the corporate supply to move the inventory to alternate locations and vacate the additional warehouse space to save 80K during 2006 and an annual savings of 120K. I coordinated the movement of the inventory and also worked to with the property manager to vacate the premises on target. During 2005 I performed an analysis with my transportation manager to ascertain the validity of eliminating our private fleet and contract the transportation of inbound and outbound freight to our facility. This eliminated 5 jobs from the company and save the company 250K annually. I managed a special project for a primary customer in Puerto Rico. The project entailed repairing the supply chain to ensure adequate inventory levels to support production start up. Also to reestablish the customer relationship. I worked closely with the customer as well as operations. I wrote SOP or ensure supply chain methods as well as SOP to warehouse operations. I worked closely with 15 associates at all levels. I reestablished a strong relationship with the account and ensure continued business in excess of 4M in sales. I was awarded a presidential CEO award for my contributions. I managed a project to support a major customer in the production chemical business. This project included working directly with the customer as well as supplier and the local supply chain management team. This business was both for domestic and international operations. I coordinated SOP`s and conducted biweekly conference call with all involved. It al included the coordination of the 32rd party supply chain internet based program and customer specific bar-code program. I coordinated all aspects of these processes. I managed the expansion of my distribution center to add an additional 30,000 sq. ft. of chemical storage. I worked closely with city authorities, 3rd party contractors, the property management and corporate to ensure the project was completed on time and in budget. The budget consisted of 400K. I completed the project on time and 30K under budget. I was team member to achieve ISO 9000 certification for all warehouse facilities on the west coast of the USA. As a result I was able to coordinate the documentation of processes with my operation and assist the team in achieving ISO9000 certification within the targeted time frame. I was tasked with the closing of a warehouse and the opening f of 100,000 sq ft. distribution center in Aurora CO. I accepted the task in November with a target date of January 1, 1999 opening of the new distribution center. I worked to close the existing warehouse and open the new distribution center on time. The opening of the new distribution center was budgeted at 600k. I was able to complete the project within budget. I was responsible for all aspects of the opening including hiring of additional resources. I hire a total of 20 associates to begin operations.I managed a project in which I opened a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Irving Texas while managing a warehouse in Austin Texas. This was a shared subleased facility from a partner company. I was able work with the partner company to negotiate operational issues to ensure VWR would establish a successful operation. I hire the local manager and worked with him to establish the facility.I accepted a position as Service Center Manager. I was responsible for the opening of 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Austin TX. I spent two weeks traveling to other locations to learn the company operations structure and systems. I then worked to open and ensure the operation was up and running prior to March 1, 1996 in order to support our local customer base. I worked closely with contractors to ensure all warehouse equipment was installed properly. I also worked with our IT department to ensure the WMS was installed and operation prior to the go live date. I also hired 2 additional associates as support to the operations. In opening the operation we were able to support 5M in business. I also managed 500k to 1M in inventory.
