Supervise and direct all personnel assigned to the Quality Assurance and Inspection Departments Direct, plan and lay out details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures to comply with all applicable Civil Aviation Regulations and manufacturer’s recommendations.
Maintain a current file system of pertinent US Army Regulation 95–1, AR 750–1, DA Pamphlet 738-751, FM 3-04.500, TB 1-1500-341-01, and FAR (PART 145), specifications and airworthiness directives.
All inspection functions associated with the repair cycle including final outgoing inspection, calibrated tool/ test equipment program, and AMT II initial and recurrent training of all assigned personnel
Secure and maintain technical data on all aircrafts, and Time Change Components returned to service by the facility repair station
Sustain Audit/Surveillance Programs both internal and external as an ongoing process and discrepancies and corrective actions are noted for record
Ensures that no defective or non-airworthy parts are installed in any component or unit released by the repair station including all final incoming inspections on all material used by the repair station
Plans, conducts and supervises aircraft technical inspections, ensures compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army Oil Analysis Program and test measuring diagnostic calibrations.
Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance and use applicable STAMIS systems
Provide technical guidance and oversight of AMT II who perform remedial maintenance and inspections of aircraft, components during their assembly/ installation and adjustment on aircraft.
Ensure that the workmanship and materials used conform to the aircraft’s manufacturers, and AETD specifications and maintenance manual procedures.
Monitors systems testing, avionics / electrical systems installations and operational checkouts.
Determines accuracy of installation of components in airframe, powerplant and avionics systems to ensure specified tolerances are met including assembly, modification, Final and Preflight Inspections
Manage, and use ULSA-E Electronic Logbooks and IETM; updates/ maintains Aircraft Records (paper and computerized).
Logs inspections performed on aircraft; track and manage processes to ensure specified compliance's are met regarding Aviation Service Action Message, Aviation Maintenance Action Message, Aviation Directives, Service Bulletins, and CSNs, applicable to the aircraft.
