January 24, 2014 Dear Sir: I am applying for the position of Track Inspector that I recently found on the internet website Indeed.com I have 13 years experience in the railroad industry and I am currently a FRA Certified Railroad Track Inspector with 10 years experience in inspecting and documenting FRA Track Defects. In those 10 years, I have inspected multiple vehicle/train accidents and derailments. As a Track Inspector, I have made recommendations regarding repairs and maintenance for highway and industrial crossings and diverse track structures. I have experience in de-stressing procedures and methods regarding Continuous Welded Rail (CWR). I can also operate most of the equipment used in the construction and maintenance of the rail industry. I believe that my current skills and experience will be a valuable asset to your company and or project.
