David L.Hitz MD I am a board certified physician, with extensive and broad experience in clinical, corporate occupational medicine. For the last 5 years I have been responsible for managing an on-site corporate medical program for Crown, Cork and Seal USA Inc, a $9 billion Philadelphia corporation, reviewing in person up to 2000 annual employee medical histories, comprehensive blood studies and delivering preventative medical recommendations. This program produced a significant corporate benefit and return on investment, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars annually, reduced medical claims and employee morbidity and mortality, while demonstrating corporate concern for employees individually and generating employee goodwill. This position required direct communication with plant management and Human Resources at 36 plants across the US, and involved interactions with corporate management to include HR and industrial relations on issues such as employee injury and illness, safety, workers compensation, legal and disability. I also wrote monthly corporate medical articles to the 4000 US employees, and organized on-site medical seminar series with Fox Chase Cancer Center for the corporate employees.
