Let's be real here. I'm a customer service rep., not a VP of the company. I take a ridiculous number of calls, emails and faxes in the course of a day, resolve customer complaints, quote freight amounts, and give pricing and lead times on our products. I do all of this with a "phone smile" on my face 8 hours a day. I work overtime when asked. I come in early, stay late, help out in other departments, tolerate everyone's bullshit and at the end of the day, I know what priorities are ahead for the next day. I also never swear of sound sarcastic on the phone. I've been doing this since I was able to answer a rotary phone for my parent's business which was run out of our home.
