Summary Please be advised, my Certification Training was Through the (IHSA) Infrastructure Health & Safety Association Ontario Partners. My Experience and my Talents Exceed all of my Certifications due to my Construction work experience as a Brick & Stone Mason. (10+yrs) I will be looking forward to Meet, Greet and Answer all of your Questions for You. All sites will be to OHSA & Reg’s. I will setup all Safety Meetings, Inspections, Investigations and Audits as required on weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. (Industrial and Commercial) 2. Skills After Becoming a Certified Brick and Stone Mason in the year of 1987, I worked with Local # 2 BACU and also started my own corporation. I Enlisted in the Canadian Forces March 1993 – September 1997. I then returned to Masonry and took on the responsibility of Shop Steward and Safety Representative. I went to The Construction Health and Safety Association of Ontario for numerous Workshop Safety courses (2007- Present date) while between jobs. I had enjoyed it and was very proud of my work. Therefore I decided in the year of 2011 to become a (CHSO) Construction Health & Safety Officer, Instructor/Trainer. 3. Skill Title CHSO Expertise Years – 7, Level - Very Good. Available – for New Opportunities - Full & Part time. 4. Previous Job Ajax Power Plant Revitalization Project # 212030 I was the CHSO on site for Complete Demolition and Rebuild of New Structure. 11mths of “NO LOST TIME INCIDENTS”. 6. Some Responsibilities • Assist the Superintendent and site Teams to implement and maintain clients HS&E Program ( as well as sub-trade contractors own HS&E program) and ensure compliance to the requirements of local Ontario legislation; OHSA & Reg’s • Update and Maintain all Safety Certificates – Orientation-Polocies • Implement Systems to ensure all site workers comply with all relevant legal safety requirements at the start of the job and while working to complete scopes of work. • Identify safety training needs, organize and co-ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate. • Co-ordinate the Safety Committees, meetings and draft safety communications (minutes) Continued: • Work with the site teams to assist sub-trades and suppliers to address gaps in there safety programs • Investigations of all accidents/incidents and near misses, establish root causes and formulate a plan of action to correct non-compliant behavior or conditions • Statistical reports (monthly) about accident trends, costs and frequency • Assist with the implementation of return to work Program for injured workers • Assist with any site specific safe work planning and procedure implementation • Review and update Emergency Procedures when necessary • Traffic Control Plans, Fire Stations, Eye Wash Stations… • Other duties as required… 7.
