Hazmat Responder with more than 11 years of incident response experience as a member of the USCG Pacific Strike Team. Responded to incidents including hurricanes Isaac and Sandy, the Cosco Busan and Deepwater Horizon oil spills, and the World Trade Center bombing (“9/11”). Selected as 2011 District 11 Reserve Enlisted Person of the Year (“REPOY”), one of 11 such recognized personnel within the US Coast Guard. According to the USCG, this program “recognizes exceptional men and women in the Coast Guard’s enlisted workforce who are top performers. Considered as the ‘best and brightest’ from the field, these individuals are selected by a panel of senior enlisted members who evaluate each nominee against a set of established criteria that includes performance, work ethics, military bearing, standards of conduct and a strong community service commitment.”
