RssMedication Safety - PGY1 and PGY2 Residency trained - BCPS certified

Currently, I am a PGY2 Medication Safety Pharmacy Resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. My career goal is to obtain a challenging position in the continually growing and evolving area of patient safety. Ideally, this position would provide me with the opportunity to develop and lead new initiatives for the detection and prevention of medication adverse events, facilitate the implementation of risk initiatives, serve as a departmental leader and resource for patient safety, and ensure that professional and regulatory standards regarding patient safety are upheld. Throughout my residency training, I have established excellent working relationships with health care providers and have been fortunate to see firsthand the importance of patient safety within many areas of practice. I have led and assisted in the design and implementation of numerous projects, such as the impact of an electronic screening tool for the identification of medication errors. These experiences, among others, have provided me with the skill set and knowledge base to develop and enhance services that will promote a safe environment for patients as well as providers.
