Summary of Qualifications * More than 20 years' experience as Licensed Vocational Nurse. * Great knowledge of general nursing procedures and techniques involved in the care of patients, disease processes and possible results, medical terminology, hospital routine, and equipment * Excellent ability to learn and operate a wide variety of hospital equipment * Profound ability to properly administer enemas, douches, irrigations, and catheterizations. * Deep ability to give medications prescribed by physicians. * Excellent ability to recognize critical and significant changes in patients. * Remarkable ability to keep records and prepare reports. * Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the staff, patients and patients' families * Sound knowledge of EKG testing, immunization skills, and current normal lab values. * Proficiency in basic computer data entry skills, and experience with email. * Immense ability to accurately record patient information in the patient medical record and to notify appropriate personnel when deviations from the norm occur. * Deep ability to accurately measure medication doses, weights, lengths, and count vaccine/pharmacy inventory. * Excellent ability to draw blood and to administer oral and injectable medications. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of patients' medical and personal information. * Ability to lift and transfer.
