In 1984 I worked for an established company as a secretary after graduating from El Dorado College with strengths in clerical and front office work. It was later that I accepted a great position with SED International as their Office Manager. It was during this time that I was able to fine tune my skill set while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and support. I remained in this role for 6 years until I relocated with my family in San Diego. I knew that I wanted to continue in an environment that would not only provide structure, but would allow me the opportunity to work with the public. In 2000, I accepted employment with Scripps Mercy Hospital where I worked in a variety of departments. I was exposed to the Labor & delivery unit, Neonatal Unit, served as a hospital float, and then I transitioned to the Emergency Department. In the Emergency Department I was hired as an Access Representative, but this position became short lived, and subsequently, I was promoted to the ER as a Unit Secretary. From 2008-2012, I accepted employment with UCSD to further my work related experiences. I believe that my success in this role stemmed from my moral, ethical, and a willingness and a desire to be a team member. Without a doubt, I knew that I had what it would take because I was positive, eager, and pride myself as a motivated self-starter. I have the ability to read, write, and speak with fluency in English and Spanish, and I have strong computer skills related to Microsoft Excel & Word, WordPerfect, and data entry. In these times where work is hard to come by, I feel that one’s attitude can be a real deal maker or deal breaker. I am always smiling, easy going, and very approachable, and due to my life experiences and computer skills, you should have no reason to look any further.
