QUALIFICATIONS I have over 15 years of experience in this field. Ten years as a Certified First Assistant. Performed variety of duties to assist the surgeon and surgical team as to anticipating and responding to the surgeon's needs and adjusts to changing situations during the case. Provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, skin closure, and other intraoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient, consistent with good aseptic technique. In addition to intraoperative duties, also performed preoperative and postoperative duties to better facilitate proper patient care. I performed these functions during the operation under the direction and supervision of the surgeon in accordance with hospital policy and appropriate laws and regulations. Ability to scrub and assist for all of the following cases: general surgery, vascular/thoracic, genito-urinary, pain management, and neuro-surgery. Serves as a team player, establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with co-workers, departments and physicians. Certified Surgical Technologist/ Certified First Assistant and Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) will be a real asset to your surgeons and operating room staff.
