Certified Massage Therapist

My name is George Schippers and I am a June, 2011 graduate of Baker College in Muskegon, MI. NCBTMB certified in 2011. Insured member; AMTA. CPR/AED certified. Born and raised in West Michigan, I volunteered for military service in September of 1979 and returned to the area in February of 1984. Upon graduation from the Grand Haven Public School System, I utilized my Certified Nurse Aide training to perform Home Health Care for Manpower Health Services in Muskegon, MI. During the education process at Baker College, I received over 500 hours of hands-on massage technique training as well as Ethics, Pharmacology, Pathology and Business management. I earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 for the course. The majority of my career includes service industries such as restaurant and retail management. I also cater to homebound parishioners for my church and volunteer for Hospice of North Ottawa County. During my tenure at The Home Depot, I earned multiple awards for job proficiency and customer service. Before entering College, I returned to the Home Health Care field, caring for a 93 year old Alzheimer’s/Stroke patient until her final rest.
