Electro-Mechanical Designer and Drafter and Configuration Management Specialist
I am a quality motivated individual with extensive years of design and management experience in the fields of electrical and mechanical design, configuration control and data management, manufacturing and producibility, marketing and technical publications while repeatedly demonstrating my abilities at team building through continuous employee development and system improvement. I have always risen to leadership positions within previous organizations I have been assigned. I believe it is because management has recognized my unique ability to identify problems and rapidly develop processes with solutions to eliminate those dilemmas. Most of my experience has been in the hardware engineering side of the house with major concentration on Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), component and assembly packaging along with manufacturing, fabrication and assembly. I have spent extensive time expanding my skills and knowledge over the years in CADD philosophies and systems. I have a good managerial understanding and hands-on technical background with many different Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Engineering/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAE/CAM) tools. I have an extensive history of implementation of these tools into the working environment for increased productivity and accuracy. I have worked with the integration of automation tools in conjunction with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems focusing on the Product Data Management/Material Requirements Planning (PDM/MRP) environments. I have administered and supported different systems through all phases/levels of evaluation, integration and implementation while sustaining the operation. I have wide-ranging knowledge of electro-mechanical hardware packaging along with testing requirements and concepts. During my career, I have acquired excellent proficiency in the utilization of parametric Two Dimensional (2D) and Three Dimensional (3D) solid modeling CADD systems in support of design, documentation, configuration management and data management. I am a professionally strong hardware designer with emphasis in areas of printed circuit board (PCB) technology, complex airborne units, ground support installations, antennas, control rooms and shelters with significant time spent on rack and chassis design hardware. From February 2010 through April 2012 I was supporting the Configuration and Data Management (CDM) team on the Airborne and Maritime/Fixed Joint Tactical Radio System (AMF JTRS) program. Originally, my responsibilities centered on hardware engineering tasks focusing on conducting subcontractor audits and reviewing technical data packages. This required insuring all necessary electronic drawing and design database media was correct and in the proper format for re-procurement of hardware in accordance with contractual requirements. As my CDM knowledge grew, so did my responsibilities. I was the lead to the CDM manager on the AMF JTRS program with team responsibly for the baseline control of all Engineering Design Models (EDMs). I was a senior staff member on hardware Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCAs) and directly involved in the certification testing and acceptance selloff of hardware products to the customer. I chaired all hardware working group meetings concerning hardware issues and deliveries on the program. I was responsible for the monitoring and overseeing the Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) reports along with all contractual deliveries of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs). I have many admirable personal values and talents, but most of my co-workers would list my total team attitude as number one. I am always willing to help, teach and/or mentor any team member looking for or wanting help, guidance or mentoring. I am a tireless worker who will put in the hours necessary to complete tasks and assignments. I am quick to learn, require very little daily supervision and most of all I am a precise; accurate closer.
