RssResearch Scientist in Medicine

I have been a research scientist at University of Washington. I am looking forward to a new challenge and opportunity that allow me to build on prior experiences and pursue my passion for Biochemical Research Technology. I have extensive lab-based research training in genetics, immunology, microbiology and bioinformatics, exploring the molecular mechanism of environmental factors on keratinocytes , and the host immune responses of microorganisms on oral epithelial cells. I have intensive experience in applying in vitro and in vivo studies in these projects. I have mastered the basic molecular techniques including gene expression, cloning, western blot, chromatin CHIP, ELISA, QPCR, and protein and DNA array. But most importantly, I obtained tremendous training in multitask project management. Besides the data collection and analysis, scientific writing and presentation, I have accumulated experiences in grant proposal from generating hypothesis and to experiment design to test these hypotheses. Instead of using single gene approach, I have applied advanced integrated genomic approach to understand underlying molecular interaction of host and pathogens.
