More than anything, as a medical practice manager I represent the office, and the physicians within it. As a Practice Manager I would oversee: Finances: This includes office cash flow, inventory, equipment and banking. In addition, managing the office finances can include organizing and implementing payroll and budgets. I can oversee billing department, even hands on, since I have many years as a billing manager as well. Practice Administration: This particular area is entirely dependant on individual practice’s needs and existing staff as well as being tasked with data management and oversee front end and back end operations. I am also responsible and experienced in various aspects of human resources. This means developing employee manuals, implementing benefits, recruiting/hiring employees, maintaining files, and even counseling/dismissing current employees. Finally, as the practice administrator, I can also include risk management. I can be responsible for ensuring the practice meets current medical laws, regulations and ethics, manage pertinent records and monitor malpractice issues since I have many hears of experience in doing so. Marketing: as your office manager I can network for publicity, and for growing the business. I have often developed patient education materials. I am extremely hardworking and dedicated.
