Bank reconciliation * Researched, audited, and collected on old and current accounts from commercial and government payers including, medical groups and independents physicians associations. * Researched billing and coding information in order to submit claims according in the various state & federal guidelines. * Worked with contracting, SOS/POS, and billing departments to update information across the various departments. * Wrote appeal letters and provider disputes in order to collect monies from the various insurances companies. * Interacted with the insurance companies via phone, fax, and e-mail to collect the outstanding accounts. * Used various avenues to verify patient eligibility and claim status and in some cases, submitted appeals and disputes.
