Electronic Health Records

Information Technology and Healthcare Professional as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I am looking to transition to Health Information Technology (HIT), Electronic Health Records (EHR, EMR). I am currently earning three Certificates of Completion in Electronic Health Records (Implementation Support Specialist, Technical/Software Support, Practice Workflow and Re-Design Specialist) and my expected date of completion is fall 2012. I have 15 years’ experience in Information Technology with experience in most areas of support ranging from desktop, software and technological support, as well as Windows server support in an enterprise environment. In healthcare my experience includes Medical, Surgical and Burn Intensive care, and a supervisory position in a Level 1 trauma center in Washington D.C. I have experience as a medical assistant in a physician’s office, and have firm knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology as well as medical office procedures. I have excellent customer service experience, both desk-side and remote.
