To Whom it may concern I am searching for a job and wondered if your company could help me out. I live the in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area and relocating isn’t an option at this time. I took a few minutes to summarize my knowledge, experience and passions. Manufacturing company My entire career has been for manufacturing companies. I understand the "big picture" of what it takes to run a production company. Between the 3 companies I've worked for I have been involved in almost every type of manufacturing, automotive, molding, assembly, office furniture, etc. I don't think there is a manufacturing facility I could go to that I wouldn't understand in a very short time. Lean manufacturing My understanding & experience of true "Toyota Production Systems" principles is very strong. I've worked with, and been trained by some of the best lean experts there are. Based on my conversations with people who think they know lean about 95% of the people actually have very limited knowledge. (not bragging but that is a fact) I have complete confidence that I can go into any manufacturing facility and help implement lean principles and make huge improvements and cost savings. ERP/MRP/Business systems My entire career has been based on combining information flow with all the areas of operations. The key is creating a business system to replicate that companies production/operations environment. Getting the "critical" data to the right people at the right time in a format that the user can understand. This also includes my training processes. Project management principles My natural tendency is laying out everything as a project. (Functionally, Time and resources) Based on these 3 things I can put together a plan and include a budget. I've used project plans to lead many different teams and implement various improvements. My primary focus has been on implementing business systems. Team leadership I've been a manager/leader of teams most of my career. Order entry, Production scheduling, Inventory control, Global logistics, Shipping, Receiving, Database administrators, Systems analyst, Purchasing and Material planners.
