This to happen on a stage of my life which requires seeking of different challenges without the pressure of pursuing a career, but searching for excellence by operating the basics. Going back to the hands on of mine of the 60's Jorge Giménez's Highlights * JG Services USA, Inc. Albuquerque, NM Sep 2003 to Present Sales and Marketing Director Utilizing my 30 years plus in the restaurant industry started my own business with an account to sell restaurant equipment and operations consulting for a rapidly growing smoothie chain based in Albuquerque NM. With 24 locations in 6 states. JGS also became involved in 2005 as a Allstate insurance agent for a period of three years, in particular in the Hispanic/Mexican market where we became one of the best agents in such a niche in a short period of time (8 months). Also started operations in Lima Peru to manage exports from USA to Mexico and development of a fast food concept developing a fusion between Mexican and Peruvian foods. * Standard Restaurant Equipment Albuquerque, NM January 2002 to September 2003 Sales Executive - Chains Hired to manage the Hispanic market in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM learning the difference between Mexican and New Mexican menu and obtaining a good number of customers. Later became chain account sales executive. * National Restaurant Supplies Albuquerque, NM October 1999 to November 2001 Sales Executive - Chains Started as a counter sales person, in less than a year got promoted to chain accounts sales executive. Learned the restaurant equipment business and attended several training tours to manufacturer's facilities like True, Wolf, Jade Range. Handled the Rubio's account based in California and able to recommend equipment ahead of time that eventually helped them to resolve a dangerous issue of refrigeration sanctioned by the Health Department of Newport Beach which was going to have a bad impact in the entire 300 plus units chain. * American Services USA SA de CV La Paz, Baja California Sur, México May 1995 to September 1999 President Operations Manager Moved to La Paz to work for the founder of Denny's restaurants (Harold Butler) on a new concept similar to in & Out of California named Nickyt's (originally the first double drive through in USA). This great experience with Mr. Butler taught me the importance once more of consistency and persistency to maintain a concept and business intact but being flexible to adjust to the market. Later Mr. Butler decided to enter the development of a beach front property that he owned and I became the first person able to tackle the project after 15 years of other persons hired to do the job. We sold 5 pieces of developed land in less than 5 months. There were no developments similar to this one on a 20 miles area of pristine beaches and excellent fishing. Built two homes for customers that bought land in the project and made arrangement to electrify an 18 miles segment from La Paz, BCS to the project, including widening dirt roads from a one to two lanes. * MexAmerica Inc. San Jose CA June 1991 to May 1995 President With this project I intended to create a 3 in one concept for South America, obtaining the support from Coca Cola Atlanta on 7 countries, creating serious interest from strong Chilean and Argentinean local investors. Worked directly with CEO of Jack in the Box and his International staff plus Carl's Jr founder. as one of a possible hamburger concept for the 3 in 1 which would include rotisserie chicken from Peru and Pizza of our own. * Salsa Taqueria San Jose, CA General Manager October 1989 to June 1991 Worked with the owner of this 2 restaurants Operations (owner of largest tortilla factory in Northen CA.) to set up the basics of a chain. I developed the system for a Central kitchen with recipes and distribution system maintaining safety in food handling and consistency of the products as priority. We opened one more location and the total concept had good acceptance on all three locations.
