Responsible for day to day operations of the repair station inspection area as well as bearing repair. Repairs bearings to OEM standards, Customer specifications and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (14 CFR 145, 43, 121, 129 etc). MRC Bearings Remanufacturing Business Unit, Prototype Inspector/ Remanufacturing Inspector, March 1980 ~ August 2000 • Process customer components from receipt through refurbishment. • Provides support to manufacturing floor via floor checks, which include dimensional and visual inspection, as well as hardness, flatness, and surface finish. Divise methods to obtain measurements of prototype bearings and record all characteristics for final first article inspection to present to customer source inspectors. • Performed inspection on space shuttle turbo pump prototype bearings as well as bearings that go in the arm of vehicle. Developed inspection methods for the GE90 engine bearings program for Boeing 777. • Able to work directly with customer representatives in presenting finished bearings for review of conformity for dimensional characteristics and review of all documentation.
