I am a doctor of veterinary medicine with expertise in immunohistochemistry, maternal-fetal immunointeractions (T-cells), placental development, immunoenvironment, immunpathology, bone and cartilage immunohistochemistry, stereology and neuropathology. I studied medicine, and veterinary medicine and did some undergraduate studies in agriculture, psychology at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. I have comprehensive knowledge in academic basic science and benchmark research skills working in the bio-life sciences for numerous years. Throughout these years I conducted numerous interdisciplinary research projects, academic teaching and publishing. I have a expertise in numerous animal models, cutting edge research methods, with focusing on planning, performing, and supervising individuals in state of the art analytical techniques. In 1996 I successfully completed a top graded PhD in limb lengthening and cartilage healing, utilizing BUdR, immunohistochemical staining, x-ray, CT and MRI examinations. I established two research lab including all technical and organizational and equipment provisions. I hired and trained a lab technician and several undergraduate and graduate students. I have been considered an innovative thinker, a thorough practitioner of the scientific method, and have a strong team spirit for a collaborative approach to projects. I worked as a supervisor of undergraduates, graduates and lab technicians. I did generate numerous publications, provided quality data for laboratory meetings (Experimental Trauma Surgery, and Trauma Orthopedics in Giessen and Marburg, Hector F. DeLuca Lab, Golos Lab, Neuropathology of the National Primate Research Center in Madison, WI) scientific conferences, and peer reviewed manuscripts for publications. One of my papers was considered a top ten of the National Primate Research Center at UW Madison in 2006. (Selective Distribution and Pregnancy-specific Expression of DC-SIGN at the Maternal–Fetal Interface in the Rhesus Macaque: DC-SIGN is a Putative Marker of the Recognition of Pregnancy). I published 3 popular science books and two children books, as well as numerous scholastically article on bioethics and biomedical issues.
