To expand my knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to practice as an entry level Surgical Technologist. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to monitor, assess and provide for the needs of the patient and the surgical team intraoperatively. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide a safe Preoperative environment. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and principles. Demonstrate competency in the use of instrumentation and equipment used intraoperatively. Demonstrate a professional attitude in interactions with other members of the health care team and patients. Demonstrate knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology as it relates to general surgical procedures and commonly performed specialty procedures.
