During my nineteen years of machining and design experience I have worked as a Project Manager, Production Manager, Tool & Die maker, Lead Machinist, Purchaser and designer, I have found that using my extensive machining knowledge has enabled me to figure setup and production time more accurately. This enables me to quote, schedule and strategically pair jobs with equipment streamlining the manufacturing process. This in turn increases profit margin by lowering manufacturing cost per unit. Then by using lean manufacturing principles I am able to create a production line template which allows anyone to be moved into the production line without affecting per unit cost. I have worked on the design and manufacturing of electromechanical components and assemblies for the private sector and federal. I mainly worked as a prototype machinist who worked with the engineer’s to meet the three f’s (Form, Fit, and Function) of the part or assembly while keeping in mind the manufacturing process.
