I was a donut shop manager in my last position. We had weekly manager's meetings where we were able to give significant input as to what the customer wanted. Ideas for new products were welcomed and even explored. The second impact that I feel I had on my previous job was customer service. We took a lot of large orders, mostly for businesses, and we took a lot of suggestions. I ALWAYS put the customers needs and concerns FIRST. People pick up on this and it really keeps them coming back.
