Accounting full time employment

I have worked in all departments of an office for a major wholesale distributor for over 20 years. Beginning with data entry I became supervisor of this department at the age of 18. I was responsible for the daily data entry of customer orders, invoicing. accounts receivable, foreign purchasing, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll processing, etc. From this experience I moved into customer service handling their inquiries, new orders, and claims. I later started working with the accounts receivables, made the daily banking deposits, and researched unauthorized deductions, etc. After 8 years of employment, I was offered the position of office manager and I supervised the work of 12-15 office employees. During this period, I also assisted the accounting department on collections and worked with our book keeper, who educated me in proper accounting procedures before her retirement. As a result, I took over the accounting responsibilities and general ledger and worked closely with the accountant. Finally, I was promoted to controller and for 10 years I was responsible for all areas of accounting and finances for the corporation. I have a cheerful disposition and work well with people.
