Objective: Seeking a position in Medical Office Management, Administration or Billing Specialist/Coder. My career in the Healthcare Industry covers more than 18 years of experience, serving in a variety of different medical positions, to include Medical Office Manager. My primary interest is to apply my skills as a patient care Medical Office Manager. I am a highly motivated, self-sufficient achiever, am very reliable, with exceptional organizational skills and am capable of functioning in a variety of roles. In addition, I possess advanced knowledge of ICD 9 and CPT coding in such specialized fields as Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Invasive Cardiology, Pulmonology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Internal Medicine. I am well versed in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medical dictionaries, medical abbreviations, texts, and pharmacology. My background in Medical Office Management has allowed me to develop an in-depth understanding of physician practice management, as well as insurance billing and regulations, HCFA documentation requirements and billing procedures, computer operating systems, word processing, electronic email, use of the internet, spreadsheets, HIPPA compliance, and medical office policies and procedures. You will find that my outgoing personality allows me to interact easily and professionally with physicians, hospital/medical staff and patients. I am fully prepared to supervise a Medical Practice Office; manage, hire and train employees; develop and implement policy and procedures to enhance office efficiency. Having the ability to learn quickly, and to pay close attention to detail, I have the skills to be an integral part of your medical office operation. Currently, I am enrolled in college to earn a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, concentrating on Healthcare Management as my major. Having completed more than a year of credits, I will receive my degree in the Fall of 2014.
