Claims Adjuster

I am seeking a senior technical opportunity that makes use of my varied expertise in handling complex, multi-line commercial casualty claims nationwide. For the past 20+ years I have enjoyed a career handling and managing claims of values ranging from minor to multi-millions of dollars. Assessment and resolution of coverage issues has also been key to successful handling. I have handled high-value claims from inception through litigation and the appellate process to conclusion, participated in mediations and arbitrations, and worked creatively and cooperatively with counsel, both outside and within the corporate Legal Department. My expertise includes investigation and resolution of coverage issues, including active participation in coverage litigation. I have worked collaboratively with insureds’ Risk Managers and General Counsel in support of defense efforts, thus obtaining the best result and strengthening business relationships. Regular reporting to executives both in writing and orally, as well as collaboration with internal customers, has resulted in superior communication skills. The most recent experience at Travelers has resulted in enhanced customer service skills, as brokers, agents and clients have been added to the communications mix. I am proud of the compliments I have received in this position and continually strive to do more than simply satisfy clients’ changing service requirements.
