RssSubstation Construction Manager

I have been actively in school or employed in an electrical capacity since 1983. I spent 14 years on active duty with the US Navy. During that time, I received years of electrical formal training, completed a Department of Labor Apprenticeship, completed a pre-engineering curriculum and received an associate of arts degree from Florida Community College at Jacksonville. During my 14 years in the military, I held multiple apprentice, journeyman, and supervisory positions. Upon my discharge in 1997, I went to work as a substation mechanic for DEMCO, an electrical co-operative in South Louisiana. After 2 years at DEMCO, I went to work as a project manager for high voltage construction at Entergy in Louisiana, after 2 years was selected as an engineering associate in the Entergy South Louisiana construction department, where I spent 6 years as an electrical inspector for high voltage new construction. During my time at Entergy, I successfully attended multiple project management, safety, and operational courses and attended the University of Phoenix with a focus on accounting in the evening. In 2005, I left Entergy to become the Substation Construction Manager for KDM Construction. I am currently the General Manager overseeing all field operations for KDM. I am responsible for the day to day construction activities for multiple crews.
