I started out as an Underwriting Assistant, working for MetLife in Southern California. There, I became a Senior Underwriting Assistant. When the office closed, I chose to find another field rather than relocate back east. I spent ten years as a Commercial Property Manager, focusing on shopping centers. I did everything from collecting rent and overseeing daily operations to budgeting and capital improvements.
