Medical Biller and Coder, Subject of Reimbursement for Physician Services – Reviews /verifies coordination of benefits, adjudicates claims, electronically bills Medicaid/Medicare, Group, Major Medical, Champ VA, and TriCare insurance, balance bill co-payments and self-pay 2nd party patients, process new patients, prepares patient record and files them accurately, keeps patients accounts updated and accurate, processes daily mail, compiles verification of insurance payments onto electronic and/ or paper ledgers. Also responsible for the verification of adjudication of codes, the using of medical terminology while contacting insurance, obtaining complete and accurate demographic information of patient’s demographics, organizes recent credit and cash reports for daily deposits, must have the strong ability to properly code physician diagnosis and procedures, and the use of customer service while scheduling appointments.
