• Frequently travel around California as well as Colorado to physician’s offices to perform various coding duties in the outpatient setting. • Responsible for inputting the appropriate code of various medical services so that health care practitioners and providers can receive payment for services rendered. • Work extensively using HCC, Capture All, CPT and ICD. Exposure to HCPCS. • Check medical charts for accuracy and completion. • Verify patient's name, DOB and ID number. • Verify doctor's name and credential. • Verify medical data in computers. • Clarify information or diagnosis by communicating with directly with healthcare providers. • Utilize computer software to analyze data (Allscripts, Centricity, NextGen, MediTouch, AllegianceMD, AdvancedMD, IndenexCare taker, AmazingCharts). • Quality Assurance Assistant for The Coding Source. • Monitoring and evaluation maintained to 96%-100%. • Quality assurance is involved in the project from the beginning. This helps the teams communicate and understand the problems and concerns, also gives time to set up the testing environment and configuration.
