Throughout most of my adult life, I too have continued to pursue further academic achievements, as well as a professional growth in the business environment. I have found that the classroom has given me the opportunity to know that my work is important and has purpose and meaning. In addition, I feel those 15 years filled with life experiences has not been in vain. On the contrary, I believe they have enriched my contributions as an educator. Skills such as organization, time management, sensitivity to being a team player and interpersonal skills would be an asset to any school district. Finally, I believe for one to be successful, a great teacher must have: (1) An Engaging Personality and Teaching Style, (2) Clear Objectives for Lessons, (3) Effective Discipline Skills, (4) Good Classroom Management Skills, (5) Good Communication with Parents, (6) High Expectations, (7) knowledge of Curriculum and Standards, (8) Knowledge of Subject Matter, (9) Passion for Children and Teaching, and (10) Strong Rapport with Students.
