The key strengths that I possess for success in this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Problem solving - Strong background and hands -on experience in writing of product technical specifications, product evaluation, patternmaking, grading, draping, and garment constructions. Able to manipulate and adjust existing pattern corrections. Maintain records of all graded specs and patterns. Schedule, conduct and attend all fittings (on fit model), proposing alternative methods of construction or components. • Planning and organizing - Experience in a product development role (manufacturing) with working knowledge of basic costing principles and their applications to product design development. Able to multi task with good prioritizing and time management skills, ensuring time action to calendar deadlines for development/ pre-production is maintained and is met. • Communication - Monitor and track the status of all development and production styles thru development and production charts, strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, strong computer skills, and most definitely detail oriented. • Team Player – Work with Directors, Design staff and Product Managers to achieve corporate standards in both fit and quality. Enjoys sharing knowledge and encouraging development of others to achieve specific team goals. Help in training of Associate and Assistant Technical Designers and identify any vendor’s requirements.
