Certified Medical Assistant

I have worked as a Medical Assistant within the field of primary care for five years at various Community and Military Medical Treatment Facilities. Prior to obtaining my MA certification, I was employed as a nursing assistant at Autumn Leaves Assisted Living in Carrollton, TX, where I was dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for patients suffering primarily from Alzheimer’s and other dementia disorders. Throughout my employment and education I have fulfilled various duties and responsibilities such as taking vital signs, helping physicians with some outpatient medical procedures, treating patients and helping in their rehabilitation, monitoring patients and reporting changes, collecting various samples for testing, and providing advice and education within my scope of practice. I have also assisted with several Military pre and post deployment procedures by conducting tasks such as providing immunizations, phlebotomy, and visual acuity exams.
