Proposal Specialist and Mechanical Drafter
My recent experience has been as a Proposal Specialist for Continuous Casting Machines with a background as a Mechanical Draftsman. My recent duties included all facets of proposal preparation including: Analyzed customer needs and proposed the optimum solution for the customer’s requirements. Interfaced with Engineering, Automation and Purchasing Departments to ensure pricing and profitability were according to company standards and guidelines. Utilized software in the proposal preparation, including PowerPoint for presentations, Microsoft Excel for cost estimates, Microsoft Word for technical specifications and AutoCAD or Solid Edge for proposal drawings. Traveled to the customers' site for data gathering and ensuring the proposal meets the customers’ expectations. Participated with other departments to present the proposal to the customer. Assisted the sales team with securing contracts.
