- Served as a Level II & III Test Engineer. Duties included development and implementation of test procedures for testing of various chemical processes, HVAC and mechanical systems. Testing included development of acceptance criteria for testing and testing procedures for installation and acceptance of new and existing process systems. The processes consisted of mechanical equipment (i.e., centrifuges, various types of furnaces, distillation columns, air handling units, vaporizers, pumps, etc.). Testing encouraged the use of the graded approach to select tools and techniques that are commensurate with the dollar value, complexity, visibility, and risk of a project. Provided support to operations and maintenance in trouble shooting of equipment associated with the different chemical and mechanical processes. Directed maintenance craft personnel while troubleshooting or performing testing activities. Provided assistance to operations in development and implementation of various Authorization Projects. Interfaced with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on a daily basis in support of restart mission and during Operation Readiness Review (ORR) activities. Review for contents and completeness Unreviewed Safety Question Determination (USQDs), Unreviewed Safety Question (USQs), Operating Procedures, Maintenance Work Packages and Process Flow Diagrams. Walk-down of various process systems for determination of job hazards and development of Job Hazard Analysis. - Mr. Redford was Designer and Senior Designer II involved with the design and layout of process piping and plumbing systems for numerous industrial facilities located at the Nevada Test Site. He performed layout and design of piping for Diesel and JP-4 storage and distribution systems for Tonopah Facility. He supervised the three-dimensional Mapping Project of the Tonopah Facilities.
