I am looking for a discipline that lets me practice as if the patient was my own family. I'd like, for once to be able to take the time necessary to really talk to someone and be able to listen to them without the worry of a time constraint, or a supervisor looking over my shoulder telling me that "I'm taking too long because after all there's paper work to do." People need to know we care, I think that's vital to them wanting to heal, and I'd love to be able to provide that; whether it's in person, on the phone or with my words- I want them to know that I care and will do my very best to help them get well.
