Hello, I am writing this in hopes you will soon have an open food and beverage position. In my 14 years in hospitality, I have worked in freestanding and corporate restaurants, Hotels such as Hyatt and La Costa Resort and Spa (KSL) in Carlsbad as well as private clubs such as Santa Luz in San Diego. I have been responsible for establishments whose yearly revenues have exceeded $6,000,000 per year and led teams of 80+ employees. Santa Luz is an exclusive developer run golf club and La Costa is a 4 Diamond resort /golf club open to the public. I served as Director of Restaurants at La Costa for over a year. For the past year I have worked as General Manager at California Cafe in Sacramento. California Cafe specializes in seasonal California cuisine. As General Manager I have overseen all guest service, employee and all financial/cost related responsibilities. I was also responsible for all sales, catering, marketing and training. In my years in the industry, I have amassed tremendous financial/P&L knowledge as well as the workings of the back of the house. Most of my management positions have required me to train in the kitchen anywhere from 4 weeks to 6 months. I have working knowledge of over 6 different kinds of POS systems and I am fluent in Spanish. I also have above average wine knowledge and am studying for my Sommelier certification. I am proficient in word, excel and open table. In 2006, I founded a restaurant consulting company which helps with new restaurant openings as well as breathing life back into failing concepts. At this time I would be open to relocating. Currently I am seeking a permanent position with a stable company willing to commit to a dedicated employee. Please note, there is no such thing as being "overqualified" for a position in this economic climate. My desire at this point in my career is to provide a secure environment for my family with proper quality of life while doing what I love which is providing outstanding guest service..
