Scientist

I am looking for a scientist position (R&D Scientist, Application Scientist, Technical Scientist) both in biotech and pharmaceutical industry. To mention briefly about myself, I am currently working as a research instructor in the area of Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolic Diseases at Thomas Jefferson University , Philadelphia , USA . My studies are focused on defining the molecular signaling events to improve insulin sensitivity under insulin resistance states, obesity and diabetes. I am an innovative, highly skilled and motivated scientific researcher who possesses a full range of research expertise in biological sciences. I have extensive working experience in cell biology, molecular biology, proteomics, cell culture as well as handling small animals for insulin and glucose tolerance studies, small surgical procedures to implant Alzet pumps with siRNA and anti-sense oligos for gene knock out studies, isolate tissues and cells to perform various cell signaling studies. Apart from above mentioned techniques, I am very well trained in experimental designing and interpretation of data, written and verbal communication, team work and collaborations, completing projects on or before deadlines, quality assurance and attention to details. Also, I have experience in mentoring and supervising research associates, research technicians, post-doctoral fellows.
