Work Experiences
11/2008 - 4/2009
Newfield Industries, Inc. (Newfab)
Manager
- I ran a crew to fabricate and weld material for oil field manufacturers. I was in charge of ordering gas, supplies, combustibles, and equipment for the shop. I would communicate with customers either in person or over the phone to keep them informed of what was going on and where we were at on their jobs. I made sure that the jobs got done within the time frame that was allowed and that they were done to the standards that the customers had requested. When needed I helped layout, fit up, and weld jobs using Stick, Flux Core, MIG, and some Spray Arc.
4/2008 - 11/2008
Global Manufacturing Company
Manager
- I ran a small crew in the shop to do certain jobs. I read blueprints to do the layout, fit up, and fabrication of the material for the job. I helped the crew with any problems and/or questions they might have had concerning the job. I communicated with the outside inspectors and customers of the job to ask/answer questions about the job and to inform them of where we were on the job. I made sure the job got done and to the job site/company before or on the date that it was needed to.
1/2008 - 3/2008
Midwestern Manufacturing
Entry Level
- I read blueprints to do the layout and fit up of material for heavy equipment parts. Occasionally I was needed to fabricate parts for a job and had to read hand drawn prints for this fabrication.
12/2007 - 1/2008
Bridge Crane
Manager
- I was in charge of the shop and crew that did the fabricating, layout, fit up, and welding of cranes, hoists, and other parts of the crane. I communicated with the office management to keep them informed of where we were on the jobs and of any problems that there may be with it. I also communicated with the office management of any problems that we had with the equipment in the shop and if there needed to be replacement of equipment.
6/2004 - 11/2007
Bennett Steel Pipe and Supplies
Manager
- I was in charge of reading the blueprints before the start of a job to catch anything that there might have been questions on and dimensions or symbols that were missing that were needed to do layout, fit up, and welding on that job. I made sure that jobs started well and finished well according to ship dates and man hours. I handle the shipping and receiving of jobs. I ordered combustibles, gases, supplies, and equipment for the shop. I had the responsibility of doing employees in the shop times and turned in for that pay period. I communicated with customers to keep them informed of where we were at on their jobs, if there were any problems, and keep them informed about their jobs. I communicated with Field Supervisors and went to the job sites if there were any problems with the material.
