Marketing Professional in Search of Management Position Offering Balance, Growth, Altruism and Competitive Compensation
I am looking for one thing: Job Satisfaction. Included in that are four critical components: balance, growth, altruism and competitive compensation, in that order. With regards to balance, in my professional role I desire balance between the strategic and the tactical. In the broader sense, I desire balance between work and private life. With respect to growth, I require intellectual stimulation and challenge to maintain interest and effectiveness in a position. In any role I take on, I require a path of progression, professional challenge, and a certain degree of activity. I do not do well in repetitive, tactical jobs where no thinking or problem solving is reuired. The altruistic component of my professional life has become increasingly more important to me. It does not necessarily mean that I wish to limit myself to non-profit organizations. However, I very much want my work and/or the company for which I work to give back to society in a significant locally, nationally or globally. This can be through business model, method or product, philanthropic foundations or outreach programs. In short, I want my work to be meaningful to more than just the bottom line. Finally, with respect to compensation, I desire to be paid a competitive salary for the role I assume based on location and other determining factors. I require full medical/dental benefits. I desire 2-3 weeks of paid vacation per year. I would appreciate some sort of retirement plan, profit sharing, bonus or commission structure as well. Although compensation is important, I am not money-driven. Significantly more important to me is job-satisfaction and work-life balance.
