I am an engineer that enjoys his soldering iron as much as his MathCad. I really shine at the critical-design-review and validation stages of a project. I have been out of work since November as a result of Intersil laying off 9% of their work force. I am extremely motivated to stay in Raleigh because I have a son starting at UNC in the fall, and one son finishing high school in three years. The next best alternative to Raleigh would be something close enough for a weekly commute such as Virginia or South Carolina. If all else fails then Texas would be my next choice.
