My first P&L position I increased revenue from 42% expected to 108% actual. This was after I was told by the VP not to worry about not making my figures, since the economy was in such a bad state of flux. I took this as a personal challenge to see what I was capable of. My district was 2nd in annual revenue for global operations. I was directly responsible for displacing a firmly established competitor at a Fortune 500 account. This effort took four months. I learned a completely new product line and became the subject matter expert before training on the product had become available. I am proud that I set aside my career in order to support my children during a series of personal tragedies. |
